My SS is having surgery tomorrow.  It is a normal procedure, just not at his age.  He is 6.5 years.  He is having a recircumcison done.  He had it done at birth, but the doctor did not take enough skin and he has been geting infections and the skin has started to grow over the head a few times.  He does not do very well with pain so the next week or two will be ineresting.....  A few extra prayers might help him recover quicker.

So far so good. He says that it doesn't hurt. We'll see what happens when the pain meds wear off.

Quoting JollyMommy84:

Good luck. Hope he gets better. I tell my daughter that when people have ''owies" don't touch because it hurts. Maybe tell ur other children to play a card game or some not so active until he gets better. Hope this helps.

I wish the boys would sit still long enough to play quietly.  They are too young for cards, but we should be able to keep them from hurting him.  As of last night, he said it didn't hurt.  We will see what today brings.

You mean HE wasn't cleaning it properly! lol

It's easy to talk about what you will do when you're a mom - then there's the reality when you become a mom.  you'll see.

then she wasn't cleaning it properly.

Quoting jomami:

My sil didn't have her son done and he kept getting infections.  She ended up having him circumcized when he was 8!

Quoting MrsKaufold1990:

That sucks...and hoping it all goes well.

But thats why im not getting son done.
