Most things can be done in the evening making things easier in the morning...

Exactly. Even as a mom who doesn't go to work every morning 95% of "getting ready" is done the night before.

1 mom liked this

Depends on the age(s) of the child(ren).  At some point, preparedness for school becomes the responsibility of the child, and many of the things you listed, the child should be taking care of themselves.

Or, could do my part at night, homework check, lunch made or money for lunch packed, clothes laid out. And then I could rely on my wonderful dh to do his part, getting ds up, fed, and driven to school on time. It's not all the MOMs job. When you work, your SO should do about half all housework and childcare. Mine is an ace at it. It's one of the reasons I married. Him, he is dependable.

I get his bag ready, check homework etc in the evening and pack lunch in the morning. But I only have 1 to get ready and I am a SAHM so I am not rushing or getting me ready for anything.

I get off anywhere from 2:30am-5:30am. When I come home I make lunches, set out my 5yo clothes, put out dishes for breakfast...then I ko. My 10yo takes it from there.
