Child with itchy hands?

My son is 6 and constantly has itchy hands. He begs me to scratch them every day and even his finger tips are itchy. He has some special needs and is calmed by having his back scratched but it appears like his hands really bother him and feel itchy. He gets really upset when I ask him to wait and seems to be unable to ignore the itch. Any suggestions?

Are they dry or is this just one if his relaxing techniques ?

You could give him some coconut oil to rub into them

They are on the dry side and he picks at his skin sometimes. Maybe anti itch cream?

Try baby aveeno for eczema and aquaphor both of these helped my kiddo who has very very sensitive and dry skin. Also make sure you use sensitive soap with no dyes or scents aveeno baby works great as well.
