Hello Everyone!!

I'm Toya and I'm currently expecting a little boy at the end of November (he is my first so I'm a little nervous). My fiancé and I are originally from the East coast, I am from Georgia he's from Virginia. We recently just moved on from the military and decided to migrate up here since we feel in love with Arizona. I'm 22 years old and I'm attending ASU. Meeting people out here has been hard so I am hoping this is a step in the right direction. I look forward to talking to you all :)

Hello! Welcome to CM. I've just moved to a new town as well & is the reason I joined. Congrats on the bun in the oven! I have 2 boys, 5 (will be 6 on halloween) & 7. I also recently had an ectopic preg & had to have my tube removed, but on the road to recovery & hoping to have another pregnancy in the not so distant future! & don't be scared of having that lil booger! Do not allow people to shower you w their birthing horror stories! If you want advice, hit me up... I have good birthing stories...won't traumatize you! Good luck!

PLEASE tell me about your life. Your 22 and yall got out of the military. I'm 23 and my husband has 2.5 years left. He's been in for 6 (we've been together 8.5 years). When I tell people I can't wait for him to get out so we can move on with our life they just give me these odd looks like I am supposed to be a super hooah army wife who never wants to quit. What do you guys do now? He's 25 so we're a bit nervous about how easy or hard it will be for him to get the schooling he earns and get into a new career. Got kiddos and high bills depending on him! Also, try meetup.com! You might find some people in your area who get out and about ;)

Thanks, I think I freak myself out more than other people. I'm trying to get out of that habit though

Yeah... just go w the flow, get home ready for him & listen to your body, it knows what to do. Are you planning on breastfeeding? I know its kinda personal but... well...I'm sure you've gotten it 100x already.

@PrimalMom we were only in for three years but it still was a bit of a transition. I don't regret my decision to join but I love my life outside the military. I can do whatever, whenever. He is currently working and I am in college. I can honestly say that the process of getting enrolled with the VA for school was easy. I had no problems and the paperwork was done fast. If you guys have any questions about the process I can fill you in anytime.

Yea I actually decided to go the breast feeding route because I heard so many benefits of it.

I caved & decided to breastfeed for the same reason & became very passionate about it. I had troubles nursing both my kids, the 1st due to my own ignorance so please get as much info on breastfeeding as you can & try to have info on help to assist you ready if you need it. There is assistance for those having troubles breast feeding & they can be your best friends! The help I received inspired me to go into that field as a career. I'm getting my rn now then going to get my masters & specialize in OB & lactation specialist.

I actually enrolled in a class just so I can get more information and guidance on it. I know I want be an expert being this is my first but I want to know as much a possible. And oddly I'm pursuing a career as an OBGYN right now.
