Yesterday's shooting at the Navy Yard hit home on many fronts. My cousin
Kenneth Proctor Sr. worked in that building and lost his life
yesterday. We will never get back

As someone who works with several thousand veteran clients with PTSD, TBI, and various other issues to receive benefits in a flawed system, this is just another indication that the military system is doing a severe injustice to the men and women in armed forces. I could never condone the actions of the shooter, but he should have been more than reprimanded with his history and not allowed to continue with his military credentials. He should have been treated long before this escalated.
