I guess it's that time of year.  Right now, as long as it's not raining (we got plenty of that last week here in Colorado) I'm pretty happy.

Quoting othermom:

It has been between the 60's - 70s here. It was supposed to et to the 80's but the weather report keeps changing

Quoting Cafe AmyS:

It started out chilly here too, but it's supposed to get warmer, upper 70s I think.  Will your day get any warmer?

Good luck to your son and his teammates.

Quoting othermom:

It is cold again today and my son has another football game.

Congratulations!  I'm so happy that your older son is still a part of your lives (and vice versa).

Quoting 4l0v3andart:

I have a wonderful newborn baby boy cuddled up to me, will be married for three years at the end of november and am excited to be joining the navy in the next year. :) I will get to be able to take care of my loves. And as always that our first son has such amazing adopted parents that we get to be such a big part of his life!

Quoting Cafe AmyS:

group hug

You're right.  These last few years are making you stronger and making for a better future for you.

What are you finding happiness in today?

Quoting 4l0v3andart:

That I hardly remember who I was three years ago. Its hard now to imagine being light hearted and playful most of the time. You don't realize how strong you have become and how much your heart has been hurt until all is said and done. But I am still alive and can find happiness in things. My future is not duller because of it.

You sound like my daughter.  She's 16 and has had her permit since July, but has only driven like 3 times since getting it.  She really doesn't have much interest.

Quoting othermom:

Learning. I have had my permit since I was 16 but have never really learned to drive. I never cared to and now have bad anxiety issues and have trouble with it, but am trying to work on it

Quoting Cafe AmyS:

Practice driving?  Are you learning or teaching?

Quoting othermom:

Going grocery shopping today. I have lots of coupons and some price matches.Going to practice driving before that

Oh, we had to ban that one from our house after the name calling started.  I'm kind of strict though, I also didn't allow Power Rangers.

Quoting Proudmommy6809:

My son who is 4 LOVES watching spongebob, & I know it's funny, & even mom & dad like to watch it. But I wonder if it's wrong to let him watch it everyday, because he points out words that isn't nice such as name calling, & saying stupid. I'm trying to keep it to 30 mins a time, & only couple times a day.

I totally get what you're asking.  My 12 year old is also on the spectrum and has a hard time understanding consequences.

Have you been over to the Autism Support group?  You might want to check it out.

Quoting ruskingirl1976:
