- I have been struggling with infertility for the past 8 months. I am 36, a newlywed and desperately hoping to have a family. Through a routine checkup my doctor saw that I had a misshapen uterus. Given my age I decided not to waste any precious time and make an appointment with a fertility specialist. After two months of testing I found out that I was born with one ovary and Fallopian tube. Luckily they function but I do not ovulate properly. I just had surgery Friday to fix my uterus and am still recovering. I am eagerly awaiting next steps. So eager in fact, I was drilling my doctor under the influence of anesthesia as to what was going to happen next.
- Throughout this process I have also sought out the aid of a holistic doctor. He suggested that I start taking 19 herbal supplements to help with my asthma and my ovulation issues. He also stated that if I tried to conceive in my current state that I would most definitely have a child with colic, learning disorders or allergies.
- So, my question remains...who do I believe? My husband refuses to accept the holistic practitioner but I do believe he was onto something. Do I need to take 19 herbal supplements instead of fertility drugs?? That is still undecided...
