I have a 17mo old and am wanting to have my daughter paint her pumpkin, I was curious what tips any of you moms have as far as the best paint. One that's safe for her and washes off if she gets it on her skin.. Thank you!

There are kits for sale for pumpkin painting at craft stores. Almost all of it non toxic and washes off with warm soapy water. Trying to use any random paints tends to fail because the waxy coating of the pumpkin rejects the pant and it all kind of drips off.

I was going to suggest this as well.  You should be able to get it at any craft store.

Any Latex base paint should wash off easily.  Or you can use pudding.  add some food coloring for color (this can be harder to get off though).
