Do your kids have a TV in their room(s)?

My kids are saying that all of their friends have TVs in their rooms.  My kids don't have TVs in their rooms but they're trying to talk me into it.

I've been against it since we have other TVs in the house that they can watch.

Do your kids have TVs in their rooms?

Do you think it's ok or a bad idea?

My dd does. But we don't have cable. It's just hooked up to her DVD player.

They do.  I was against it.  DH insisted.  They have basic cable and a PS2 so they still end up in my TV room to watch the higher channels.

My 4 and 6yr olds don't and won't. I want them to sleep at night and be able to use the TV when I am not feeling good :) (I'm diabetic.... I happens! Like last night I forgot to give my long acting shot.... Stinks, and it doesn't happen often, but it happens)

No, they don't. We have one TV and we watch it together. I don't like the idea of children going and isolating themselves to watch TV. I'd rather we spent quality time together.
