How many trick or treaters did you get? Is this what you expected?

We sadly didn't get any. Now I have to eat all of that candy. Heh!

Seriously, though, I love seeing the little ones in their costumes, it is just so far back here that we often don't get trick or treaters.

Zero. I didn't think we would get any. We have only been living here 3 months on a farm and our house is on a very long driveway. I think trunk or treat is more common out in the country.

That worked out that you had enough to share. We've had children come here even with the lights off, and the long driveway. :)

4....we didnt expect any at all and our lights were off but they came anyway LOL Probably because our Halloween decorations were still lit....Luckily we had just returned from trick or treating ourselves and had plenty to share.

80 still seems like a lot to me. Was the weather unpleasant?  What will you do with the extra treats?

Quoting cmorden06:

We got 80 usually get 200

No way lol. She's only two. We still have a whole bag from last year lol. We're leaving to go four wheeling for the weekend and so we'll just take most of the bucket to the desert with us and dh's family can help us eat it lol.

Quoting Bmat:

LOL about the bucket of candy. :)  Will your daughter eat it all?

Quoting nocalmegan:

Our neighborhood sucks which is why we don't stay here and hand out. Our neighbors got less than a dozen and gave dd an entire bucket full of candy.

1 mom liked this

I just heard of trunk or treat a couple years ago, it makes sense to me.

I found out last night that our neighborhood is one of the ones people come to and take over. It was fucking insane!!!!!!! I bought 5 bags of candy thinking wed have some left afterwards cuz it'd just be our neighbors toting. No. I was soooo very wrong!!!!! We were out of candy within 40mins. Ive never seen so many cars in my little neighborhood. Really shitty to have to turn off your light after 40 minutes. We didn't even make it to 7pm!!!! In frickin sane
