Is it OK for adults to wear characters on their clothes?

I was wearing my Mickey Mouse sweatshirt yesterday and my sister told me that 'no respectable adult would wear a shirt like that!'

I thought the shirt was fine but when I went to Target later that day, I was wondering if everyone who saw me was thinking my shirt was odd.

What do you think when you see an adult wearing a shirt with a character on it?

Do you ever wear shirts with characters on them?

Now I'm rethinking whether I should dress like that in public anymore...

To me, it depends on the time and place.  I don't know if I would say "no respectable adult", but I don't really like kids wearing them.  I'm not really sure why.  I don't like kids in sleeveless shirts either.

I wear them, but I'm not exactly the paragon of looking or acting like an adult so I don't know.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I don't care what other people think though. I still love sesame street. I would wear a big bird or cookie monster shirt. I have an orange sleeveless that has a huge neon yellow smiley face with a mustache on it that I love to wear.
