I'm tAking my 4 yr old to the zoo today. Should I take a stroller for him? Why or why not?

i depends on your child.  my ASD son when he was 4 i needed a stroller.  but with my 4 year old DD shes been out of one since she was more or less 2 for excursions like that

Unless the child is unable to handle the walk, then I wouldn't take a stroller. It is easier to let the child walk around by themselves, and nice for them to have the freedom, otherwise they are passively sitting in a stroller, or you end up pushing an empty stroller around while the child walks anyway.

Depends on the child and the amount of time you plan on being there. I bring strollers for my daughter and son to Disneyland though we don't use them until later at night when the kids are exhausted.

I think at 4 they are to big for a stroller.  They can walk. Just take lots of rest stops.

Yes I would take a stroller if you plan on being there all day for a 4 year old. They get tired from walking.

i ditched the stroller when my kids started walking  well (around 12-18 mos)

but if your kid is used to it and you don't mind the extra baggage, take it

I would take a stroller for a day trip like that. I even rented a stroller at disney this past summer so my 5 year old and my 7 year could rest.
