I recently started working for a school district and I moved my 1 st grader from a charter school to my district, he went from being a straight A student to now he's failing most subjects. The school hasn't made any effort to contact me or do anything so far about this. The new school is rated higher then the charter and I want my son to have the best education possible but now he's in danger of repeating the first grade. Was it a mistake to move him ? Would you move him back or let him stay ? The charter school had a class size of 12 kids with two teachers vs the newer school its 30 kids with one teacher.

I would contact the school and let them know your concerns. Then if that doesn't work, i would transfer him back to the old school. I have a first grader, too! Good luck with everything!
