What's your monthly mortgage?

I'm still renting but trying to get an idea if what we will be paying in a year or two when we buy.

I bought my house in 2006 at 6.75% for $163,000. Principal, interest, taxes and insurances make my payment almost $1500 monthly. Taxes are extremely high here through. I pay almost $400 in taxes alone.

Well it was 120,000 but they dropped all the way down to 84,000 because no one was buying. It was out dated.

So we bought it and remodeled the whole thing. It's beautiful now :)

$811 a month.

We paid $180,000 for our house. We do not have a mortgage. We were able to buy our house straight out.

We will be paying 192,000 (we are building)... As of right Our mortgage will be around 1400 a month with taxes and insurance. With the VA loan, no downpayment and an interest rate of 4.25 but could change depending on the market when we do the final paperwork 45 days before we close.

There are so many variables...... I go to zillow.com to check out my local houses for sale and it will usually give you an estimate on the side for mortgage.  Given your family is larger, the mortgage would be larger than for where my family would live.  We just need a 2 bedroom house.
