Ugh! Power bills! Did yours sky rocket??

My power bill more than doubled this month along with everyone else I know! It's so stressful! Did yours go up??

No.

If you have lived at the same place for a certain length of time (varies by company, but here it is a year) then they can average out your total cost for the year and you pay a flat rate.  My monthly rate might increase a little next year, but given that these harsh winter/summer months will be broken down over 12 months of payments, I think the bill will only go up by maybe $10 each.

I currently pay $132 for electric and $125 for gas every single month.

we are in SC ...in the RV..electric free here...site is $275/mo....
back @ the house..in NC..electric..set @..56°..
only be @$45....
but my daughter is in Illinois..propane shortage...im worried... :-(

Yeah our Electric goes up between Dec. and April then it goes down again to repeat the cycle for the next Winter Season.

My bill went from $260 to $458 I nearly choked to death when I opened it. We had some pretty cold days, and I know I was to blame- I kept the house at a toasty 75.

That is about how ours was too it went from 288 to 425.00. I was like oh no!!! And like you we kept ours at about 75. We have has some nights that were like 1 degree. Lol
