Is it ok to send kids to school with ripped pants?

My son is constantly ripping holes into the knees of his pants.  you'd think he was crawling around all day!

Doesn't matter if he's wearing jeans, track pants or khakis - he always rips them!

I don't like to send him to school with ripped pants but he has tons of ripped pants now and hardly any without holes in the knees.

What would you do?

Would you send your kid to school with ripped pants?

I personally don't, I leave those for play clothes, but I don't think it's the worst thing in the world. Have you tried switching to different brands?

I buy all different kinds of pants but he always rips them!

Unless I want to keep buying pants for him every week, I think I'm going to have to just send him to school with ripped pants!  Ugh!

The thing with my son is that once he has a little hole in the knee, he starts playing with it and makng it bigger!

I send my son in them. He typically rips the knees out of one leg by February, and since he wears shorts all summer I will not be buying new pants for him for awhile. I used to put a patch in the knee, but he has texture issues so that drove him crazy. I don't like sending him in ripped pants, but I just can't justify the expense when he's still growing.

Yes I have because we just bought new jeans and they fit(and they are onlyin the knee andone knee at that). I would have to buy him new paris every week or so. I am looking to patch the knees up somehow because man they fit they are still pretty new.

Patch them. If you can't sew, there are iron on adhesive patches.

My nephew rips his pants all the time during recess. My mom puts those patches the ones you sew on.
