Am I really a B****?

My co-worker came up to me today and asked me to cover her shift because her kid is sick. Tonight is supposed to be my night off at my second job, and I don't really want to spend my night off covering another persons shift.

I dont feel its my responsiblity to cover her shift just because she has a sick kid.

I told her no, that I had plans.  She got upset and called me a B**ch.

Nah, I don't think so anyway. :)

If you have plans, you have plans.  If you want to stay home and sleep, that's your prerogative.  Your coworker needs to grow up.

Noooo. I never cover my coworkers shifts at my second job unless its a serious emergency for them. I love my time off and try to do as little as possible bc its so rare I get any! Don't feel bad , she should have back up plans for things like this.

Not at all. You have two jobs and you need some downtime. Nothing wrong with that.

Wow! Sounds like a wonderful co-worker. You have every right to say know! She could ask her family to watch her kid.
