I told dd a dd and dh today that we were poor and he got upset. He said we have a roof over our head and a bed to sleep in. I said yeah but we never have money to get anything we want and have to live paycheck to paycheck. We have no savings and bills up our ass. I consider myself poor, what about you?

We are a blue collar family. I'd consider us working poor or on a good year lower middle class. We make too much for assistance but not enough to get ahead.

I would be considered "poor" but I don't think of myself that way.  I own my home and have enough to pay the bills but I live pretty modestly.  I have my family, my pets and my health.  I certainly don't feel "poor".

Middle class. We work,  can pay all our bills, put away for retirement, have savings, 401 K, IRAs, Annuities, take vacations and buy pretty much what we need and want.

Middle class. We are comfortable (bills paid, savings, vacations) and don't worry about money (wasn't always the case).
