Do you let your kids eat or drink in the car?

Just curious.  We let DS drink if it's water.  No juices or anything that stains.

Food is off limits. Yes, we have a fairly new car. LOL Maybe after the newness wears off we'll change our minds.

I have no idea lol.

Love your screen name. How did you come up with that?

Quoting OrangeDreamPop:

I take a small snack and drink for them for after the gym. I usually stay for about an hour and a half and they are always a little hungry after all that running around and playing. I just vacumme up crumbs with my hand held vac, and the one time there was a small spill a washcloth got it out in a second

My car was already 6 years old when DD was born...  It was always spotless...  Until I started letting her eat in it!  LOL  I regret it now!  I'm taking it for full detailing before the new baby arrives, and there will be new rules!

Water in their contingo water bottles, maybe milk in a bottle for the 1yo if it's late and after bedtime.  And yes, they get to have snacks, sometimes.  Crumbs can be vacuumed.

She's 4. And it seems like everytime she has something in the car, she spills it or drops it

I allowed pretzels in our old car.  How old are your kids?

Quoting Mamatobe15:

She is allowed to eat pretzels and stuff but nothing messy.

Water only, and foods that don't crumble or spill. My husband has always had strict feelings about eating in the car and I picked up on them. It really is nice to have seats in the car that aren't sticky or full of crumbs.

I let the kids eat and drink in the car. Sometimes, it's just easier on me to not deal with cranky hungry kids or have to stop for food. I have to drive almost three hours round trip every week to go to the OB, and the kids go with me. Letting them have a snack on the way saves my sanity.

Food is allowed in my car.

DD likes to play with the spout of her sippy, so only water.  For now.
