Do you let your kids eat or drink in the car?

Just curious.  We let DS drink if it's water.  No juices or anything that stains.

Food is off limits. Yes, we have a fairly new car. LOL Maybe after the newness wears off we'll change our minds.

Yes, in spill-proof cups and snacks that aren't real messy

Personally I don't see a problem with eating or drinking in the car. I mean, as long as its not pudding or anything sticky. I have spill proof cups for drinks so I don't worry about that either. If a mess is made, oh well. That's the joy of children (:

We've never let our children and ourselves included eat or drink in the car, with water being the execption. We eat before we leave or we eat where we are at.

We've had people tell us we have some crazy rules or we are too strict.
