Well that same day, a guy was out front with a table, chair and applications to the program. Dude said in order not to be wait listed parents had to attend a mandatory orientation the next day at three. I said, what about people that work?
Anyways, long story short I was able to get my man's mom to go for me (which was an option he laid out for those inquiring. So yay! But that day I was a little irritated that the day before they orientation they made such demands. Some people can't just drop work like that.
I just feel it could have been more organized to give people time. They have our emails because they send us fliers for the school instead of paper. Why didn't they email us a flier about it?
Last year my son was in kinder so it was my first year there. I'm still getting to know the school and what they offer. At least this year I'll be able to prepare better like hopefully I can apply for the program before school ends. If that's the case maybe they have a procedure where I find out sooner about anything mandatory I need to attend.
