Are there any people still discussing having only one child?

My DD is almost 4 and we recently decided that we want at least one more child. It took a long time and a lot of thought to come to that decision. I'm in my late 30's so we are ok if it doesn't happen. We are so happy with our DD.

I was an only child till I was 16 and DS technically was till this year or if you are being picky still is on biologically and law (we have another now)
Having had both experiences, I don't think I could have just one

We only had one. Hubby wanted more but I said, "When hell freezes, thaws and refreezes. However, you (hubby) are more than welcome to get knocked up and have the next one."

It was not up for discussion.

I have siblings, and we have 3 children with 2 on the way. We always knew we wanted four children. I have family and friends who have a one and only, and it works for them. You just have to know what YOU want.
