Non-Traditional Christmas Dinner?

I'm looking for ideas on what to serve for a non traditional Christmas dinner?  I don't want to have Thanksgiving again so I'm looking for something different to try.  There will be 4 adults and 5 kids. I was thinking of prime rib but the picky eaters (kids) may not like it. Any other ideas?

We are doing 3 different kinds of enchiladas this year. Sides I know of right now are Spanish Rice, Jicama Salad and Black Beans

We used to do huge Feast of the 7 Fish type dinners but this will be the second Christmas since hubby passed away and I'm not doing that type of meal by myself.  Last year we did a crockpot minestrone soup but I make that often during the year anyway.  So this time, it's a homemade lasagna that I can put together the day before and it will just pop into the oven.  A salad, maybe fresh bread and peppermint ice cream with brownies for dessert and that will do just fine.  Nothing time consuming and no huge clean up.  There will be 5 adults and 4 kiddos.

I thought about that.  My family (back home) is doing a fish fry this year along with a seafood boil.
