Or commercial holiday.

I feel a lot of these holidays are to sell cards or products.

Like Valentines day, Sweetest day, St Patricks day, April Fools day etc etc

First I did get something, so this isn't a complaint.

I just feel like these are just a way for commercial businesses to get us in and buy!

I try not to participate. Wish my hubby wouldn't. Its a waste of money.

Do you?

I agree with you.

It doesn't bother me. We do dinner out and trips just as a couple all year round. Love day isn't a big deal to me. But we do something? I've never given cards out on St. Paddy's day though. LOL
I mean some people do not do Christmas and Easter for that same reason.

We don't either. I agree it has gone overboard with the little extra holidays.

Yes, we do. Sure, it's a  mostly commercialized holiday, but every holiday now is all about the gifts and candy, and we participate in others. I love buying my husband a present and a card, just showing him, again, how much I love him and how much he means to me, and I love getting presents. I don't think spending money on the person you love is ever a waste of money.

yeah, we just use it as an excuse to do something a little special, but it's usually nothing more than little gifts or a hot tub visit. and we never do anything commerical on the actual day; it's way overly hyped.
