So I just recently found out my 2 year old daughter is lactose intolerant and with summer right around the corner we like to walk to the local ice cream shop sometimes is there any lactose pills I can get that my 2 years old can take so she can enjoy an ice cream cone with us without getting sick?

My dd11 can't have any dairy at all. We just go to the store and buy fruit popsicle's for her.

There are OTC lactase pills. But ask your DR first. If she is only two, she may not be able to use them. (I never used it, hopefully someone else who knows can help)

I don't know if there is anything she can take being so little still. I'd check if the ice cream shop has any dairy free options like sorbet or slushies. I know DQ does.

Times have changed so I'm not sure. My sister was allergic as a child and all I can remember is water in her cereal. I've never stopped to think what she does now though.

This is a good question for her doctor.

Popsicles are a good idea, though!  Maybe change up your routine?
