How do you know when someone is on-line?
How do you know by looking at someones profile, how old they are?

I know if the person is online it will say person is currently online to the right of their photo.  As for age I don't believe it says that the person may mention it in their profile other than that you have to ask.  I am 32 btw.  And I am online right now just in case you were wondering.  :)

BM - biological mom
BD - biologicl dad
AD- adopted dad
AM- adopted mom
DSD-dear step dad
DSM- dear step mom
TPBM - the person before me
SAHM - stay at home mom
MIL - mother in law
FIL - father in law
SD - step daughter
SS - step son
LOL- laugh out loud/ lots of love
LMAO/ LMBO- laughing my @$$ off/ butt off
ROFL -Rolling on floor laughing
ROFLMAO/ROFLMBO -rolling on floor laughing my @ss off/rolling on floor laughing my butt off
SO is also significant other, not just the bad terminology.
lulz= multiple LOL
FWIW= for what it's worth
IMHO= in my humble opinion (there are also variants to this one, including IMO, IMNSHO *in my opinion and in my not so humble opinion*)

I posted a list of common abbreviations on the Getting Started - Making Friends (abbreviations) post.  It's always on the 1st page of The Newcomers Club so you can refer to it anytime.

Here's the list...
Some Common Abbreviations

WRITING IN ALL CAPITALS- shouting

ATM = At the Moment
AYT = Are You There
BBL = Be Back Later
BF = Boy Friend (also sometimes best friend, breast-feeding or breakfast, depending on context!!)

You can only see how old a Mom is if she write it in her personal statement or in a post...
