Would you let them eat what ever they wanted or would you make sure it was all healthy or lots of snacks? Come on mommas let me know what you would do?
Okay I have 4 children, my niece, and two other lil boys that I am feeding....plus myself. I spend about 700 a month for all of us. I split it up between three stores. I DO NOT buy cookies or chips. Instead they get granola bars and things like that. We hardly ever eat pork. Chicken and beef mostly. Lots of soup and sandwiches. I was just curious how you all were handling the nice rise in prices these day.
Healthy foods, with a couple junk snacks here and there.. ;) If I had that much for food, I think I could bathe in it.
If I had $700 a mo for food I would not eat Ramen and mac & cheese.. I would eat healthy with little junk and maybe lose weight and get my diabetes under control. Hard to do when you dont have $$ for the right food.
Wife to Kelly ~~ Mother to Tina, Shelie, Masao, Kelsey and Nickolas Grandmother to Ashley, Merriah, Michael, Kilynn, Kiailah, Gabriella, Kiana with another grandchild on the way in March.
lol... $700.00 a month of food!! is wish! I spend $200.00 a WEEK.... But there is also 5 of us and sometimes 6 when the boyfriend is here, or there is sometimes more when The other DD is home for a visit with her man...
but I do shop for well rounded meals, healthy snacks, and I do buy regular snacks for everyone else.

You people really know how to get my attention with these post LOL this one sure grabbed me in! Ugh, I wouldn't have room in the house for that much $$ worth of food....I'd have to eat out alot. would hurt my feelings something terrible
On a serious note....when the economy first started getting bad there were people on tv talking about how "bad" off they were. One family had to cut out their eating out budget of $250 a month....WAH
Dude if we had 700 a month just for food..We would be living like fat hogs!! Not saying you are I mean we just are kinda broke now days with the dr bills and stuff!! We eat on like 400 at the most a month on food!! Id prolly mix it up tho maybe mostly healthy well rounded meals and snacks and a small variety of junk food here and there
