Several people have told me that I shouldn't worry so much about buying things for my son for Christmas because he is only 4 mo. They say it's silly because he won't even know the difference. It's really bothering me though because, yea he's young and all but I still want to celebrate his first Christmas! Plus, he's our first child and we're excited about it!

What do you mama's think I should do? What did you do for your LO's first Christmas?

Also, for those who agree I should get him a few things, suggestions??? What were things that your LO's got lots of use out of and enjoyed around 4-6 mo? And what do you put in a 4 mth old's stocking? lol

Thanks mamas!

  • I've heard that same thing on here and I think it's silly. It doesn't matter how old the child is or whether they will remember, it's still Christmas. You can put age appropriate toys and teething rings in the stocking. Maybe get a big fluffy bear for a gift. I got both my girls dolls their first Christmas and put them in their rooms.

  • My daughter was 4 1/2 months old last year and we bought her some clothes that she needed.  We bought her high chair and her exersaucer because they were practical.  You do what you want.......We also put teething rings and sippy cups and stuff like that in her stocking.

  • I think you should do what you want.  I am in the same position only my daughter will be two months.  As for the stocking...well maybe put little toys that he can play with like rattles and stuff like that.  You can't really replace the candy and nuts.  Good luck!
