Question about hcg numbers

Okay ladies I have a question. I went for my 2nd blood work today. I went on Friday and it was confirmed that I am pregnant. YEAH!!!! My first hcg level was 158. Then today was my 2nd bloodwork. It was 763. Does this seem high to anyone over a two day span? Anyone have numbers that are similar and only had one?

that's normal, it's just a number they use to confirm, i think it's a hormone--soemthing of some sort, don't worry, they will skyrocket in no time, when i was just a couple months along i was at like 37000ish....i was freakin out, but don't worry, growing numbers means a growing baby!!! hehe!

I think the rule is that the numbers should double every day to two days so that puts you right where you should be.

I just found this when I was googling it!

The following is a list of serum hCG levels. Note that these are merely typical values--a given woman's values may not fall within these ranges. (LMP = since last menstrual period).

  • 3 weeks LMP: 5 - 50 mIU/ml
  • 4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml
  • 5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml
  • 6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml
  • 7 - 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml
  • 9 - 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml
  • 13 - 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml
  • 17 - 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml
  • 25 - 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 - 117,000 mIU/ml
  • Non-pregnant females: <5.0 mIU/ml
  • Postmenopausal females: <9.5 mIU/ml ...

taken from wikipedia...=)
