How much do you spend on your kids for Christmas?

Do you have a limit per kid? By age? Or is it just a free for all?

I keep a running tally (in a notebook) to keep things equal between the two kids. We try to stay under 500 per child.

right now since they are 4 and under we spend 100 bucks per kid(3 kids) and 25 bucks per stocking(6including the dog)

as they get older and the things they like get more expensive we will probably up the budget

This year my daughter's limit is $150 (she's over 18 and has a baby so..).   My 4-year-old son will probably get close to the same amount spent on him (hopefully his dad won't go crazy) but it's rough on us this year.   We usually do a little more.   I will probably get my grandson something under $100 but not much.   SO is getting a mini-laptop DVD player and that's it.

DD is 13 months and I spent $40.  I know, that isn't much but that is what I could do this year.  Maybe next year it will be more, depends on how much I have to spend.

If it were up to me I would spend 500 each.  But my dd is getting coal this year, so my budget for her will be pretty small.

Wow, $500 per kid???  That seems like a lot to me but I guess as Caitlin gets older 4 toys will be that much more?  My mom only spends $200 per "family" (us three girls + husbands + kids) and I remember as kids thinking we got alot!!!

I usually do about 150 per kid, because we live with my parents and my parents buy a bunch for them also. This year though I think I did closer to 300 per kid. I just kinda lost track of what I got i guess.

I would say with stocking stuffers too, around $300 a kid. We have 2:)
