Booster Shots

Just wanted to let people know, I was un aware, that if you are an adult and you were vaxed as a child or you choose to vaccinate your child, adults need boosters.

I got very sick and am still recovering from (almost a month and a half later) pertussis (whooping cough). I was vaxed as a child for it and figured I was safe.

It made me very ill (I also have an autoimmune disorder). I was in th ehospital overnight getting fluids via IV because I was coughing so bad and so hard for days that I was not keeping anything down and was very dehydrated from the vomiting. I also needed a breathing treatment.

Please, just so you know, some of the illnesses we vax for, they are not gone just yet.
