Hand foot and mouth...

How many times can a child get it? My son's had minor cases of it twice and tonight I noticed his cheeks were getting the tell-tale redness and he's got a couple "pimple" lke things on his face near his mouth. Everytime he gets it, I happen to get it too, mildly, although this time my face is starting to break out on my chin and I have a blister on my lip! HEEEELLLLLLP!

It's caused by the enterovirus; most of the time kids are irritable and sometimes have a fever of 101-103; it takes 3-6 days from exposure for symptoms to appear, and can last from 6-10 days; I've seen kids with bumps on their bottom in addition to the backs of the hands, feet and inside the mouth.  It's a virus, so you can get it every time it goes around..sorry!
