I Want To Throw Up .......

I would love to know what just happened.  I went away for two days.  I stopped the mail, put the pets at the kennel, and locked up the house.  The only thing I left was the hermit crabs and the turtle in their cages because they are fine for a day or two. 

HERMIT CRABS ! 

I unlock the door and step inside.  I drop everything in my arms and run screaming outside.  Flies.  Flies as far as the eye can see.  They were everywhere !  And I hate bugs !  Little flies, medium flies, and mother freaking huge flies.  I hate bugs !  I am screaming and my husband thinks I am crazy.

HUGE FLIES !

I calm down and look at the glass door and there are flies all over it.  Yeah I got sick into the outside trash can.  So what happened?  The hermit crabs were all dead.  Every last one of them.  One crab?  Three crabs?  No !  All of them !  I have fourty-eight hermit crabs.  My kids adore them.  They are in a great tank and are so much fun.  Now it is a crabby graveyard and the flies are out of hand.

We got in the van and went up to Home Depot.  BOMBS.  Lots and lots of bombs.  Now we get back to the house and my husband goes in and sets the sucks off.  Ugh.  I call the vet and she says that it is very likely they got a bacteria in the cage and everyone died.  The flies are because I had so many and they were sitting there for two days.  Oh my freaking .........

So I just finished cleaning the house.  There were fly carcasses everywhere !  My husband was so smart in going around sucking everyone of the dead buggers in his shop vac.  Then I scrubbed everything and changed sheets.  Ugh.  I got in the hottest shower I could stand and scrubbed till the soap split in the middle.  I still feel dirty. 

Well that is my rant for the day.  Thanks for listening to the crazy fly woman.  Night.

sorry u lost all ur little hermit crabs...............i would have died if i came home to all those flies...........ur brave mamma lol

Ewwwwwwwwwwww!! I would have run screaming too! So sorry you had to come home to that ew ew ew ew ew ewwwwwwww. I hate bugs too. And insects, and all things crawly that don't belong in my home! Sorry your crabs died :(

Yeah, I would feel like there are flies on me for weeks. Yuck. I think i just lost my appetite for a bit!
