I have the worst fever blister ever, it is huge, ugly and gross.  What do you do when you get one.  Are you one of those people that just ignore it, or do you put something on it to make it go away faster?  Thanks.

If you dont want to tell me please bump.  Thanks.

MMMMMM. Gotta have my coffee.

if I feel one coming on, plain old fashioned toothpaste (not gel - gotta be the white stuff) seems to minimize it to a great extent (depending on how early I catch it!).  the other option is tea tree oil.  dab it on every hour or so.  I haven't tried Abreva yet...never seem to remember to buy it!

I get one after I am sick (really sick) or really stressed out...hold on...let me see what medicine I use...Denavir. It is a perscription. When I was little, I used to get them about twice a year. The doctor gave me some sorta shot to make them go away...and a special chapstick. Good luck!

Buy Lysine tablets and take about 8 the first day and about 6 for the next 3-4. Also you can get a script from the doc or buy otc meds....

Abreva (otc) works great! Also if mine ever got real bad a spread. I either went outside in the sun in the summer or tanning bed in the winter a few times to dry it out.

good luck mama! them suckers hurt!
