I am just needing some advice. I have a Couesnon coronet that I want to get a mute for. I've never needed one before, but now that I have neighbors it would be the courteous thing to do. Does anyone (or their child) have a coronet or trumpet? What kind of mute would you suggest for everyday practicing? What would allow the truest tone without making it too flat, sharp, or distorted?

i like the tri tone mutes because not only are they good for just regular muting, but they can make different sounds so it's more useful than just a regular mute.

I like this one, the tone is not affected too much and I have never had trouble with it. I have been playing a trumpet for about 15 years.

I don't know how to make it "clickable" but you can copy/paste it into your browser. Good luck
