7 wks the first time 5 1/2 the second.  Spotting started, then clotting, then lots of bleeding and cramping.  A couple of days and it was all over.  Still emotionally scarred...this was sept and nov '07.  Now I'm 13 weeks pregnant again and scared to death!

when you did your very first ultrasound with those babies did they see anything wrong? i had my ultrasound over 2 weeks ago and all they saw was the sack but no baby. i was about 5 weeks then. 2 weeks later and i have no sign of spotting ,cramping or hurting at all.

My first miscarriage I was 16 weeks.  My panties were wet all day long for no reason.  I mentioned it to my grandmother and she just told me it must be sweat (summertime).  That night at dinner I suddenly felt as if I was extremely constipated, to the point I had to lay down.  Very shortly after that, the cramps started and I began bleeding, badly and clotty.  I felt something drop when my grandparents were taking me to the hospital.  When I finally got to the ER, they said the baby trying to come out was the "dropping feeling", but it was stuck.  They had to go in with forceps and get it.... very painful and very tramatic and I'll never get over it.  (8/23/93)

The second miscarriage I was only 7 weeks along.  I had found out I was pregnant and two hours later I began to cramp badly.  I went to the bathroom and blood was everywhere.  By the time I got to the ER, I had already passed it.  (2/16/96)

Mine began in the morning time, I was close to 3 months along, I stood up to go to the bathroom and I felt like something inside me fell to my lower abdomen. I then began spotting, it took me a whole 2 weeks to fully miscarry, when I did they put me in hospital for the d and c. Ugh. I hated that! it was awful feeling! I was rushed to the hospitals many times, had iv inserted every time, but there wasn't anything they could do. Having a miscarriage is very painful cramping like gonna give birth, but maybe more painful because your body hasn't prepared for it.This was my first pregnancy also.

my miscarriage didnt happen on its own..i had a d&c because the doctor said i would eventually miscarry, and that i could choose to let it happen on it's own or they could do the d&c.  we scheduled the d&c, they put me to sleep and the next thing i knew i woke up with my boyfriend beside me.  it was really upsetting, and it was hard for me and my boyfriend to talk about.  i bled for almost 3 months because of an infection i had after that. but i never had any symptoms that showed i would miscarry until i went to the doctor and he tried finding the heartbeat and nothing... then he did the ultrasound and there was just an empty sac.. i was supposed to be at least  3 months along... good luck i hope everything's ok!

Oh wow. I am truly sorry for your loss mama. Especially your first one. I could not imagine ever losing a child, especially that late in pregnancy. You are a strong woman.

the fist and second one I was about 7 weeks along and it came on suddenly went to the bathromm and was bleeding both times and it was gone the same day...the third one i was 12 weeks and hadnt had a heart beat so they did a ultra sound and the baby was no longer alive...i had to take meds to help "pass" it and it took a few days... its really hard to tell if you are miscaraging untill you start bleeding..or the Dr says you are. so mama i wish you the best sending hopefull thoughts your way for a good healthy pregnancy.good luck and if you need any one to chat with about it  im here......... i know its hard

I wasn't given general anesthesia, I was partially awake and still to this day remember the scrapping feeling. Ugh! Yuck! There was never a heartb eat when I went for exams either. But I remember seeing a tiny shape of a baby pass. i was terrified then. I had to pass a lot of huge clots of stuff. Was very crampy!
