She called me in hysterics last night, he ex hubby stole her tax return. He claimed the kids before she could, and she has ALL the right to do so. She liveds 4 hours away from him and she brings them into town for him to see them. He doesnt even pay her child support or anything. And she was supposed to get 6000 back and now she has to pay this year because of it. That isnt right is it? He cant do that. What can she do about it?

please if you have any advice let me know so I can get her that money she well deserves. She is jobless right now with 2 kids and started school recently. She was going to live off that money.

not sure about this but i believe if they reside with her more than 6months/half year she claims them. She may need to call IRS, have him audited?!?

Hope it works out for her!

Report him to the IRS and if he wants to see the kids he should go to them.

Exactly, and the IRS doesn't play around with that.

Tell her to go ahead and file and claim them! Been there done that! Trust me, HE will get nailed on it, and be in deep sh#t! She has every right to file and she needs to do just that!
