Eviction and credit reports

I wanted to ask, if a person is evicted, does that show on their credit report?  What if the tenant was NOT evicted for non-payment, and owes nothing to the Landlord?  If anyone has any answers, Id really appreciate it.  I live in NY state if this helps.  Otherwise please BUMP!!!  THANK YOU LADIES!!!    :)

No it does not show up on a credit report -evictions are civil matters and public record. So if they pull a civil/criminal record it would show up there.

Yeah, it doesn't show up on your credit unless you owe them money and they file a judgement against you.
