We want to give our baby my SO's grandmothers middle name... which is june... but the baby is due in june...
I think it is great. My dd is named after her grandmother and great-grandmother.
Life is too short not to live it!!
I don't think so. I have a daughter who was born in December who's name is April. People always tell her she should have a different name. Screw them.
No, I think it's nice. I have a s/d whose name is April. She was born in April. Her mother named her. I don't like the first name being the same month of the birth. April doesn't either. I think naming her after her grandmother is nice, though. If it's the middle name I think that's different.
Not in my opinion! Look at all the Jan's, April's, and May's running around! I think June is a unique middle name.
I have a friend that named her daughter Sun Aura, because she was born in Sonora, Arizona.
My first son we named Morgan , his paternal grandmother's maiden name (Ruth Morgan).
Another friend named her daughter Varina, because she was craazing the hot cereal Farina all those 9 months!
I don't think anything is wrong with that. I think June is a nice name, and chances are most people won't really notice, unless your DD introduces herself as June (instead of her first name) and announces her birthday to someone as they meet her, lol. I actually had June on my girls list- not any family significance, I just think it's a pretty name.
