Do you have a Papaw?

A Papaw is a special kind of Grandpa.  They just make life better.  If you are lucky enough to have one, you know what I'm talking about.  Mine is on his way here to bring me chicken soup and orange juice because I have a cold.  And I'm sure he'll have a cookie for my daughter.  Because as Papaw says, "She's just the sweetest thing that God ever made!"  Yes Papaw, she is, but I think you come in second place!

I had one, and nothing or no one compares to it!  I miss him everyday, but the memories will last a lifetime.

I had one, but he died when I was 2. :(  You're very lucky to still have yours.

Yes...we did.

He passed away at 4:00 this morning.

My husband is on his way home from Iraq as we speak so we can bury him....

I do, I do! He is the sweetest, kinest, and funniest man I know. To me he is grandpa, but to my kids he is papa jack. My son sometimes wakes up crying at night because he has dreams that something has happened to him.

My papaw's died before I was born,  I had a step papaw (My mamaw remarried) He was the best, I loved him so much.  When him and my mamaw divorced about 8 years ago I never really seen him, he died last year.  That is so sweet what your papaw did.

I have a very special Papaw too. I wish we lived closer, we are 1200 miles away. He sends me the best emails and it is always great to talk to him on the phone. I can't wait till we go see him in May, he is getting married to a wonderful lady.
