Is it wrong to have a baby shower for a second baby?

I sort of feel it is, but with a boy coming and only having all pink stuff, I think it wouldn't be bad.  Not that is is going to happen, but I am just wondering what everyone's opinion is.  That's all.  No drama.

a shower is a celebration of the coming of a baby....why can the first one be celebrated but not the second?? thats not fair to the 2nd baby! esp. if its a different sex!

Personally I think that if the second baby is a different sex, there is absolutely nothing wrong with throwing another baby shower!

I think the only reason it would be is if they were close together and the same gender. I got pretty much all my big stuff in neutral patterns so I can reuse them if I have a boy next time because I don't want another shower!

im on my second pregnancy, and i plan to have as many showers my fr/fa gives....i had 4 showers my first pregnancy.

If people want to come together and celebrate the coming of your child and give gifts for the baby that's great! I won't be expecting a shower with mine, but if people want to give me one I won't tell them no.

Not at all. I want to have a 2nd shower for this baby and it's another boy (there are 4 years between him and my oldest). Every baby needs to be celebrated!

Nothing wrong with it! I have two girls, 22 months apart, and was given showers for both.
