I lost my mucus plug

i am almost 36 weeks pregnant and i lost my mucus plug today...can anyone tell me what this means as far as labor wise...did any of you go into labor after this if so how soon..

I lost mine about that time and was induced at 41 weeks, 3 days

its hard to say.... some women can go for several weeks after losing the mucus plug before going into labor.

The first time I lost mine I was 30 wks and went into labor the next day......labor was stoped and bed rest till 38 wks lost what grew back a bit and went into labor again the next day.

By the books I read when I was pregnant labor should be here within the next 2 weeks...I think I lost mine a wk or so before I had my son.

i lost mine in january and had my son in march.  they just said to limit my lifting.

It's just a part of the end of your pregnancy.  It is no indicator of labor of length of time before you'll go into labor.  Saying that, my water broke less than 12 hours of losing my mucus plug.

some women lose them but then it regenerates

it doesn't mean it's going to send you into labor..

Your mucus plug will continue to replace itself, so it isn't a good indicator of impending labor.  I lost mine from 32 weeks until I had my twins at 37wks 5 days.

Around 37ish weeks I thought I lost mine but wasn't sure cuz whatever it was wasn't as big and disgusting as described to me. I just heavily discharged a "glob" of slime. Lol sorry to be so descriptive but it's the only way I know how to explain it. Then my friend told me I'd know if I did. My water broke at 38 weeks and 2 days...I never did find out if I lost the plug or not lol.
