I have never heard of this, but I gave birth in Delaware. What state are you giving birth at? Did you try to google it?

I've never heard that, but my last baby was 2 1/2 years ago.  A lot of my friends recently had kids & never talked about needing verification.  bumpity bump!

Umm no, I have had two epidurals and I just gave birth 4 months ago, I think she is just pulling your leg, cause I never had to do anything like that.

I had an epidural with both my kiddos and I never had to register for one. They just asked me when I went into labor if I wanted one or not.

Yeah no, definetly false.. due to the fact that you never know whats going to happen, you may HAVE to get one...

I not sure in america, hut in Ireland you have to let the hospital know a couple of weeks before so that you can be booked in for it. And depending on the hospital if u change your mind in labour that u do want one, its just not possible, Although they aren't common here anyway

Ummmmm, I had my son in california 16 months ago and as of then, the Dr. came into my hospital room (about 2 hours after being admitted)and asked if I thought I would want one, just so they could let the anaestheseologist (sp?) know if I would be needing him in the middle of the night! to put him on call! but after that it was up to me if I wanted to get him out of bed at 3 in the morning (which I did, Sorry!)
