  • Female.

I wouldn't take my car to an automatic who didn't drive.  And I wouldn't take my uterus to a doctor that's never had a period.

    Peace,

    Kat

  • Female, absolutely!  The two male doctors I had in the past made me feel like they had somewhere better to be!!

  • I had a male OB/GYN for both deliveries. LOVED him to death. We moved he retired so I now have a female Nurse Practioner that speciazes in Female health and I love her. Wont trade her for anyone! So I have had both for exams and liked them but only for a delivery Doc.

  • I have had both and I prefer a male, it seems more natural to me, and I always joke with people and tell them if I am going to pay someone to look and touch, then it better be a guy, but in all truthfullness, I really do prefer a man, to me they don't have those parts, so they are more careful I think.

  • All my doctors, etc are female...I feel more comfy explaining feminine issues, with a female who has/had the same as me!

  • We have 2 hospitals in our city, but the one I like only has one doctors office that uses them, so I've always had the same doctors. It is 2 (sometimes 3) women and a man, but the man is elderly and doesn't deliver babies any more, so I've only seen the women. I really think it depends more on personality. There is one woman doctor I don't care much for, but I like the other 2 they have a lot.

  • Personally, I'd rather have a female GYN/OB.  I just think that theyre eqipped with the same parts, so they know how you feel and have been through the same thing.  I had a male OB that was just completely rude, he would tell me everytime I went to see him I was gaining too much weight!!!  I only gained 38 lbs, which I dont think is too bad!!  Ugh, I switched and had a midwife.  My gyn is female as well, I just feel more comfortable with it being a woman.
