when it comes to obstetricians whats better a male or female doctor? (from your experience)
i had both, but for me i would go to a women dr,just bc they have most likely been thro it all and they know how u feel...guys really have no clue!!!
Female all the way, from experence!! If you are looking for an extra level of compassion then go for a midwife. I've had all the different choices. I won't go back to a ob-gyn after having such a great experience with midwives!

I've gone to 4. 2male and 2 female. I like both males better then the females. They seem to be more gentle.
I have only had male OB/GYNs. One of which I hated with a passion, one I only went to see once because I moved away (loved him) and my current OB. I had this OB for my first pregnancy and he was amazing better bedside manner than I have ever seen. I ended up moving away and found out I was pregnant again and cried because I couldn't have my old OB back. Well we ended up moving back to the area two months before I had the baby and I made a beeline for my old OB's office and was so excited to have him back.
I wouldn't trade him for anything!
For me I had 2 different female OB's and I hated them , my last one was male and I loved him ( he kind of looked like Dr Shepherd from Grey's Anatomy so DH didn't like him lol)
I've had both and I liked them both. I really don't care. I look more into how much experience they've had and their reputation.

I also want to add that my female dr's had a I did it and I got over it so you can too attitude, and the male dr was more concerned with how I felt and he listened to me more and spent alot more time with me than the others
I had the male dr through ou tmy intire pregnancy but when it was time to deliever I had a female. I liked both of them so I would know. I mean it really depands on what you are looking at in the doctor. There is one female in my hometown that I would never go to. She is very rude and no bedside manners at all. The male doctir in my hometown is also rude but he doesnt care abouthow you feel during labor you do as he says when she says it and if you do he will walk away until you are ready to listen to him. He is a cocky son of a b***h.
