Why is it? Just another CafeMom/Society double standard.

That people get on here and say "a woman on PA shouldn't get pregnant because she obviously cannot afford her kids"

But then the same people get on here and say "a man should be able to move on and start another family after a divorce... his ex shouldn't take all his money to support their kids..."

That makes no sense. So a woman cannot make more babies if she doesn't have money to support them all... but a man can?

Yup, for the same reason that BC isn't covered by some insurances but Viagra is.

i think the difference in thinking is the man is making his own money (hypothetically), where the money a woman on PA gets is from government programs.  but i see where you're coming from, i'm just not sure it's quite the same thing.

She's right. Almost anything covers Viagra for any man, including registered sex offenders. (no, i cant remember where i heard that, the news i'm sure, but i cant really say where...)

Right, but if he was ponying up enough child support in addition to the job she has she wouldn't need PA.... (just an example, I know it doesn't always work out that way...)

lol!  These statements made me think of McCain..

I agree, there are tons of weird stuff..

Like, all the people who are pro-life, do they get pissed when their tax money is going to a family that accidentally got pregnant, couldn't afford the baby, but had it anyway?

I wonder the same thing.  My insurance company did not want to pay for me to have my IUD put in 6 years ago, I had to pay for it because they said that it wasn't a necessity, however, Viagra was on their list of covered "medications" Crazy isn't it?
