Is CPS like DHR??

I am from Alabama and we dont have a CPS...we have DHR which stands for Department of Human Resources.

We have both in MI.

We have CSB which is children services bureau (sp) and DJFS Department of job and family services. I think they come up with CPS as a general term for all places dealing with children safety.

Here in Illinois, we have DCFS. When I'm talking about it here, though, I just use the general term of CPS. Everyone knows what that means, and it's the same kind of agency.

In TN we have DCS,department of childrens services
