My DH teaches high school math and he tutors my niece ( 2 grade). He thinks that these centers can be a waste of money. Have you tried having a private tutuor? Many you can find a high school or college student to help tutor at a cheaper rate. Sometimes you can find a college student working towards a degree in elementary teaching.

Yes, they work, eventually, several thousand dollars later.  I took my daughter to Huntington Learning Centers last year for several months for help with math.  I think you'd be much better off finding a private tutor in your area. They may charge up to $20 an hour but Huntington, Sylvan, etc., are nearly $40 an hour and it's not one on one unless you pay a lot more.  I wouldn't do it again or recommend them.

I do have a next door neighbor said he will. For $20 a hour I said I'd pay him. But I want to look into centers too. Thanks

I'm am doing research on todays online tutor services to help parents and kids K6-K12. I would like to get some opinions and statistics from a parents perspective

I am sending you the short free survey links to distribute to parents and students who would be interested.

Participation is greatly valued and appreciated.
