i have a friend who has a 7 mth old baby boy. and he weighs 25 lbs. my girls are 10 months old and probably weigh 18 lbs. i was just wondering... i googled and it said a 7 mth old should weigh 15 lbs.... and for him to be 25lbs and only 7 mths seems like too much weight for him.

Two of my three kids weighed 15 lbs at their 4 month app. One is now 7 and the other is 6 months but my hubbys family big and I mean chuncky babies and then they are now grown teens like 6'4 and skinny as a rail. It all has alot to do with genetics and I get alot of crud from the doctor because my son weighs too much but it will all balance out.

Depends on the kid, my dd is 2 and barely weighs 25lbs. But her cousin weighed 25lbs before she was a year. Now she weighs 27lbs. She started walking and ran it all off lol.

My seven month old was 17lbs at his last appointment and was only in the 21st percentile for weight. My oldest was at least 24lbs by 7 months and stayed right around the 85th-90th percentile until he was about 15 months old. He has since tapered off and is 29lbs and 35" at twenty-one months old.

All kids are different. My sons' pedi was never concerned about my oldest because his weight to height ratio was just about even (he was 80-85th percentile fopr height, 85th-90th for weight). The pedi is, however, concerned about my youngest being too thin because his weight percentile is the 21st and his height percentile is the 85th.

think the average is around 18lbs or so - all depends on the baby

my younger son is 14 months and is only like 20-25lbs (probably still closer to the 20lb mark)
