Guess being Pregnant Does Not Make Me Booth Worthy!

I was so annoyed today. I am almost 8 months pregnant and HUGE! I have back issues, varicose veins and BAD pelvis disfunction in which my pelvis bones are separating and causing a lot of pressure and pain when I am on my feet or getting up and down. I work in a wonderful, but physically taxing job as a autism clinician. So anyway after 2 long work sessions, I stopped for a quick lunch at Panera Bread before I went to a meeting for a client. Panera is a commercial soup, salad and sandwich restaurant where you order then seat yourself. Their are booths and tables. Well since my legs and pelvis hurt so bad after the morning I did not think twice about taking a booth and putting me feet up. I usually try to find booths cus chairs kill me back and pelvis. So, as I am relaxing and enjoying my lunch as I tried to read through notes for my upcoming meeting, and I see a woman in sitting across from me at a table with a friend. She was glaring at me and giving me dirty looks. And I could not figure why. Then she loudly looking me said to her friend, "Some people are so rude!" I looked at her and said, "Are you talking about me?" To which she said, 'Who else would I be talking about?" I was clueless as to the problem-pregnancy brain, I guess LOL! So I just gave her a confused look and shook my head and then went back to my notes and lunch. About 10 minutes later I packed up my stuff and started clearing the table and the lady stands up with her food to move tables, and in a nasty tone says "Finally, she is done hogging the booth for herself!" And I finally figured out why she was being so nasty! So, I looked up at her and said, " I am 8 months pregnant and needed to put my feet up, when are you due?" She rolled her eyes and said, That still does not give you the right to take up a booth yourself!" So, I turned to her and said, well I think it does and I said tell ya what, You carry this baby 2 more months then give birth to her and you can enjoy the booth and I'll sit at the table, but until that happens I will sit where I want. And by the way I just decided I am not done with the booth yet.: Then I sat back down and read through the rest of my notes for 10 more minutes!!! People SUCK! I know I was a bitch for sitting back down, but she pissed me off, and pissing off a hormonal pregnant woman is never smart!!!!! Anyway, had to vent! What would you all have done?

I would have sat back down, too! It would have taken everything I had not to bitch slap her, but I'm a little out of control of my emotions when I am pregnant.

What does it matter if it's a booth or table SHE has to sit at?  I'm sure she'll live and the fact that she cared that much... I feel bad for her being so retarded.

I'm a vaccinating, circumsizing, disposable diaper using, breastfeeding switched to formula, cry it out sometimes, pushed 1hr before a c-section (and don't regret it), college attending, loving my soldier, loving my son, can't wait to have another baby, trust your own judgement, kind of mom.

The first time i noticed them lookin i would have been like do you have a f*ckin problem? Lol i cant stand when ppl stare at me, especially when im prego lol. I hate it. I would have been kicked out of Panera and never aloud back in.

Wow... im not the type to say something to somebody... im a chicken like that... but my SO would have gone off on that woman!! Sure, being pregnant doesnt give you more rights than everyone else... but I wouldnt have thought twice about seeing a pregnant woman taking up a booth. I would do the same thing and just ignore the bitch until I was done. You handled it pretty well... good for you! =]

man some people!

i went to a movie when i was about 8 months prego and got my ticket... anyways there was a HUGE line and the movie didnt start for about 30 min so the manager let me go sit down (actually he told me) in the theater while they cleaned up and got ready to show the movie... anyways.. i didnt even sit it the "best seat" but people outside were being so mean about it.

and then you have those people that just continue to sit down and stare at the very prego lady standing to wait to be seated at a resteraunt... i ALWAYS would stand and let the lady sit down
